Calendar design is an essential aspect of graphic design that helps businesses and individuals keep track of important dates and events. As a freelance graphic designer, I often create monthly event calendars for my clients to be sent to their targeted audience, handed to their customers, and placed in strategic locations for marketing purposes.

When designing a calendar, the first step is to determine the format and style of the calendar. Will it be a wall calendar or a desk calendar? Will it be a traditional calendar with a grid layout or will it have a more creative layout? These are important considerations that will depend on the client's needs and preferences.
Once the format and style have been determined, the next step is to gather all of the necessary information for the calendar. This includes the dates, holidays, and any special events that will be included in the calendar. It's also important to consider the colors, fonts, and images that will be used to make the calendar visually appealing and to meet the client's brand standards.
When creating the design, I use software such as Adobe Illustrator or InDesign to create a rough draft of the calendar. After the rough draft is complete, I will present it to the client for feedback. I take their suggestions and make the necessary adjustments to ensure the final product meets their needs and expectations.
